Why people buy art and can’t stop once they start

Mind blowing, beautiful, horrible, amazing, addictive — all these and many more adjectives are used while talking about art. I am really interested in the ADDICTIVE side of contemporary artworks.

Buying art can be like getting a tatoo — you get your first one, then you want another one, later — you just can’t resist the third one…. and so it goes.

Why does it have such an effect on people and why do we become art collectors?
